Investigations of the vaginal secretion of 12 women with trichomoniasis, conducted before and after vaccination with the anti-trichomonal vaccine SolcoTrichovac, showed in 8 cases a 1.34 to 5.05-fold increase in the specific IgA. Accordingly, no tricho-monads could be found in these cases in wet smear preparations taken 2 weeks after the third vaccination. In 1 patient showing an unchanged IgA concentration after vaccination, trichomonads were no longer detectable. 3 patients failed to respond to the vaccination.
